A NOTE FROM THE HEART.
For Tracy
By Timothious
Curious I.
When I see the sparkle in your eye.
Lady of floral brightness and glow.
What doeth makes you sparkle so?
What magic brews with in you?
You with long darken locks of spin silk hair.
You with Darken eyes that glisten true.
You with skin so fair.
What is it that makes you smile that brightness?
Can it be the life that burns with in Thee?
Or the ever so longing rightness?
Nay to those who oppose you. Leave them to me.
Though a Mercenary I be.
It is a Mercenary of the heart you see.
I loan you my sword and my arm to swing it.
My shield and my back to bring it.
The cost is not much and priceless at the same time.
I wager it not for it is not mine.
I give it to you to hold and cherish.
So that it may not perish.
Though I've been the Assassin, the Traitor, the Thief.
I kneel before you unprotect as the leaf.
My heart I bare for you to plunge your knife.
To send ever onward my worthy life.
To you I give all that is to give.
Those few pieces of me that still live.
I've been broken and put back together.
With some steel, some stone and some leather.
Human I am not nor will I become.
I have powers that astonish some.
And others merely shake thier heads.
As if to say "It is expected of those who are bred."
Yet there are things that even I miss:
The touch of a cheek and lips to kiss.
To wake up in the morn.
With that one who is no longer love lorn.
Curious I.
When I see the sparkle in your eye.
Lady of floral brightness and glow.
What doeth makes you sparkle so?
Where doeth the stars come from that shine from your eyes?
The brightness that shines like the heavens and skies.
Leaving young men weak and pale.
And seasoned warriors afraid because even they might fail.
Yet sometimes you seem tender as a brand new leaf.
And others the reigning Goddess beyond belief.
And others the bright cheerful young lass
Of days some centuries past.
I play now the role of poet, romantic and bard.
And wait for the turn of a friendly card.
To you the deal has gone and is in your hands.
I wait to see where you stand.
